REFRESHING OR REVOLTING: 2016 NISSAN SENTRA

Nissan has been pushing its design language in a new direction that was first seen in the Murano crossover, followed by the Maxima and Altima. Now, the 2016 Nissan Sentra sport this new design with updated technology to complete the package. While the Sentra is not entirely new for 2016, a slight upgrade is sufficient to give life to the compact sedan?

The front end provide up most prominent changes with a new grille, headlight, and design Foglight car. Grille is characterized by the same general format but replace the horizontal chrome bars in favor of the black honeycomb grille. It seems that Nissan logo to float in the middle, while still tilted and vertical chrome bars. FOGLIGHTS been squaring off more visible and make it. But the most radical change lights. The general pattern remains the same, but the lights have been updated to show themselves more specific and aggressive appearance.
From the side, Sentra 2016 looks very similar to the outgoing model, but in the back was a more daring changes. Rear lights share the same design, packaging with red and white lights, but the new model is characterized by lamps that stand out a little more what stands out as the body. Reflectors bolder on the bumper redesigned appearance, which now offers a more aggressive design feature. Trunklid remain unchanged.

The cabin features subtle changes with a slightly more upscale look than the outgoing model. The steering wheel has been redesigned and offers up a cleaner look, with smaller proportions and the steering wheel-mounted controls have been consolidated. The center stack looks unchanged from the outgoing model, aside from some small touches. The shifter is now housed in a black casing in place of the previous chrome surounds. The infotainment screen has been updated, but the controls remain the same. The controls for the HVAC system, as well as the air vents, are also unchanged.

The Nissan Sentra, while a reasonable contender in the compact sedan segment, has been lagging behind the competition in terms of design and styling. For 2016, the refreshed Sentra offers up slightly more aggressive exterior styling, while the cabin boasts small but significant changes. Are they enough to breathe life into the 2016 Nissan Sentra?  Last week we discussed the 2017 Hyundai Elantra, and appeared to be strongly divided comments on the new look.
"Refreshing, compared with the last generation." Said MrCatman it still does not look great, but certainly an improvement.
"This is disgusting. Grille is very large, and they do not fit the small size of this car. Last Gen. Elantra looked much better," said RickHamm87.
"Refreshing. It's looking less naughty and more mature in the design. The inside is also clean and less cluttered. Fluidic old design did not work to call attention to the company and this new fluidic design does not seem to have hurt sales," said Midosan.
"Horrible !!! what has the design team did with the model once elegant and aesthetically late? I would rather keep my 2011 Elantra from falling into the monotonous and boring 2017 model. Hyundai really dropped the ball on this one," said TruDesign.
